Crusin' Time: Day 1 - Saturday the 19th of December

We loved our first cruise, two years ago, so much that we booked another one for this year.  This time we are set to experience the 9 day Christmas Cruise with P&O on board the Pacific Dawn....... Here starts our daily account of our latest Travel adventure.  Bon Voyage!

*********

Today is the day we set of on our second family cruise.  With butterflies in our stomachs, we were all awake well and truly before we needed to be.  Miss Trinket was dropped off with the lovely people from the Pet Motel at 8.00am and we then set off to meet Matt's mum, dad and brother Dan, before heading off to the Port of Brisbane.

Excitement was high as we boarded the Pacific Dawn, after a quick stop at the TRS counter to claim back the taxes on our recent pre-cruise spendings.  Once on board the first stop for Matt and I was the Aqua Spa.  Here we quickly signed up to take advantage of their couples package again.  Then it was off to Plantation for a quick lunch.  The Dawn now has an amazing adventure area, which we signed both boys up for.  We chose their silver package, which includes two activities per day on the high ropes, rock climbing, plank walk, flying fox and others.  Today the boys got to do the flying fox.  Will have to make sure we visit the Photo kiosk to purchase their photos from this!

Here are the boys with their gorgeous Gammy and Pappa, taken while Matt, Daniel and I sorted everything out at the TRS Counter.

The boys also found a great soft drink package.  For not $7 each per day they can enjoy as much soft drink as they wish during the cruise.  Not the healthiest option but they are on holidays.  Will try to turn my head away and just let them go' on this one.

The rest of the afternoon was spent lazing on the deck, enjoying the Deck party from the comfort of a massive hammock for two.  Yep!  We are here!!!

Dinner was enjoyed at the lovely Waterfront restaurant, with a gorgeous window seat.  Once again we ate dinner as we watched the sun set over the passing Australian coast line.... Just like our first cruise two years ago.  Must remember to ask for table 50 the next time we choose to cruise again.

We finished the day on the decks, watching Jurassic World while snuggled under blankets to keep warm. Must remember that the clocks are set forward tonight so that we are on time for tomorrow's activities.  Could be a funny day.  Matt, Dan,Carol, John and I have all signed up for a $25 cocktail class.  Seeing how as Matt and I don't drink, four cocktails could be quite interesting.

What a great day!
